CANEGROWERS has welcomed the election of industry stalwart Paul Schembri as grower-director to the Sugar Terminals Limited (STL) board.
The result, announced more than two and a half weeks after STL’s AGM due to a delay in finalising the voting process, marks a major moment for growers seeking stronger representation and accountability from STL. CANEGROWERS Chairman Owen Menkens congratulated Mr Schembri, describing his election as a strong endorsement of his leadership and advocacy for the sugarcane industry.
