CANEGROWERS has a standard lease document for use by its members wishing to enter into a simple lease arrangement. It is for the lease of land for sugar cane production with a term of up to 3 years and an option of up to a further 3 years. CANEGROWERS staff assist members wishing to enter into a lease by ensuring there is a full understanding of the terms of the lease and the legal obligations of both the lessor and lessee.

Information requried:

  • Details of both parties
  • Lot descriptions/s of the areas subject of the lease
  • Rental for the terms

Documentation Required:

  • A recent Title Search for the land/s subject of the lease (which can be obtained from DNRM for a nominal fee)
  • A current map identifying the area subject of the lease

Sharefarming

A Sharefarmer works and operates the farm for the purpose of growing sugar cane including cultivation, fertilising, irrigation and managing the lands and crop on the lands.

CANEGROWERS has a standard Sharefarming Agreement document for use by its members wishing to enter into a simple Sharefarming arrangement. It is for the farming of land for sugar cane production with a term of up to 3 years and an option of up to a further 3 years.
