The Cost of Production Tool is primarily designed to allow growers to determine what sugar price they need to cover production costs. This is an important part of understanding what sugar prices you would like to lock in for your business.
The tool allows you to enter your own farm information, which will enable a break-even sugar price to be calculated based on your costs of production. Members can download the new Cost of Production Tool on the CANEGROWERS website at www.canegrowers.com.au/marketing-information-service.
A handy How to Guide on using the Tool can be found on pages 17-18 of the June edition of the Canegrower magazine.
